All students take the dance class(es) at their own risk. It is the student's responsibility to check with their medical practitioner that they are fit and well to participate in belly dancing.
Health and Safety
By booking /joining onto a class/course, you hereby take full and sole responsibility for assessing your health and physical ability and seeking medical advice before you begin and for the duration of the course/class
If you are in any doubt as to your ability to participate in belly dancing, the warm ups, routines, excercises or any part of the tuition on the course, please do not attempt it.
If you experience any pain, dizziness or shortness of breath when exercising, stop immediately.
Whilst every effort is taken to ensure the student's safety during the lessons, belly dancing is an excercise and there is always a possibility of getting hurt. It is possible to feel muscle ache when starting a new excercise, particularly in the first few weeks. All students will be asked to sign/complete a health questionnaire/declaration of their fitness and waiver agreement which forms part of the terms/conditions of joining a class/course.
It is important to note that I am not a medically trained professional and do not hold any qualifications in medicine/fitness etc and if there are any concerns/questions regarding your fitness to participate in belly dancing you must seek advice from your GP.
Classes are typically low impact (i.e not much jumping) although there is a lot of joint movement of the body as belly dance incorporates isolation excercises of the chest, shoulders/arms, hips, knees and back. Some may find this strenuous so please seek advice from your GP regarding your suitability.
Gemma Sahara Belly Dance will not accept any responsibility for any injury, damage or loss to person/and or/property sustained during any class, rehearsal and/or performance.
Classes are not suitable for those who are pregnant or who have joints/neck/back problems.
In other cases if there are any concerns medical/fitness confirmation from your GP will be required.
You must be over 18 years of age to participate
